Acute Care RFP Fact Sheet
November 2012
The State of Arizona Medicaid Program, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), is scheduled to release the Acute Care Request for Proposals November 2012 for managed care contracts beginning October 1, 2013. AHCCCS is providing a forum for community input regarding the Acute Care Program in preparation of the upcoming contract solicitation.
As of December 2011, the Acute Care Program provides a comprehensive array of health care services to approximately 1.1 million enrolled members through Title XIX and Title XXI. The majority of the Acute Care population includes children and pregnant women with household income levels at or below 100% of the federal poverty limit. The majority of eligible Acute Care members receive their care through contracted AHCCCS health plans.
AHCCCS’ goal is to continuously improve the Program’s effectiveness and support the delivery of the highest quality care to our customers. To further that end, you can provide your input in the following ways:
- At the upcoming Public Meeting on January 18, 2012 by filling out the Comments Page
- E-mail through the AHCCCS Website at AcuteRFP@azahcccs.gov
