PHOENIX – The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) seeks public comment regarding the proposed merger and transition of members from Care1st Health Plan of Arizona (Care1st) to Arizona Complete Health - Complete Care Plan (AzCH-CCP). Public comment will be accepted through Dec. 7 by emailing care1st-azchmerger@azahcccs.gov.
Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan currently serves approximately 372,445 acute members and individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) designation in Maricopa, Gila, Cochise, Pinal, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Pima, Santa Cruz, and Yuma counties. Care1st currently serves approximately 80,626 acute members and individuals with SMI in Apache, Coconino, Mohave, Navajo and Yavapai counties as well as the entire northern geographic area of the state. Both health plans are currently AHCCCS Complete Care Contractors with a Regional Behavioral Health Agreement and are owned by Centene Corporation.
